It seems like trouble just comes in clumps. My mother, who lives in NM, has just been diagnosed with two kinds of cancer. She was in the hospital all last week, and although she’s home now for a while, she is still in a lot of pain and has a long road ahead of her. Of course, I’m still having trouble getting around. My poor husband has been running errands for me for weeks now.

Then on the national level, I was so sorry to hear about the destruction Rita caused. I hope all my friends in Texas managed to get to safety. Lots of the people I went to college with years ago were from the Gulf Coast.

Old Pfaff Posts

I went ahead and released some pages I’ve done with my old posts from the Pfaff lists. Some people had contacted me wanting to see those old notes again, and I had been working on them, but they really weren’t exactly the way I wanted them yet. After all this confusion here, and the fact that my computer is acting flaky, though, I decided to drop the passwords and let them go. I may, at some time in the future, go back and do more revisions on them or organize them a bit better, but for now, they are there if anyone wants to look at them.

Crochet

My crocheted pillowcases are at a standstill. I haven’t even picked them up since I wrote about them, but I did do some crocheting over the past few days. I thought you all might like to look at one of the doilies I’ve done. It’s called Kitty Talk. It’s another Delsie Rhoades design. It’s done with size 10 crochet thread. Delsie has a web site now where you can buy her designs. I know I hunted all over the place to find this pattern, and now she’s offering it on a CD.

Here’s a closeup of it.

I have two other crocheted doilies nearing completion too. One has some roses on it, and another one has more cats.

Knitting

Now and then I’ve knitted more on my Leda’s Dream Stole. I still have a lot to go on that, though, and I still haven’t decided on exactly which edging I’ll use on my Flirty Ruffles Shawl.
